Q: What separates Carolina Paranormal Society from other paranormal groups/organizations?
A: Unlike many paranormal organizations, Carolina Paranormal's overall goal is to find natural or explainable causes for claims of paranormal phenomena using advanced science and technology with high scrutiny. This method is typically referred to as "debunking".  We have a group of professionals whose backgrounds include careers in Science, Forensics, Health Care, Information Technology, Education and Law Enforcement.  Our diverse staff uses skill sets from their different professional career paths to implement a scientific and objective approach to investigating the paranormal. Our primary concern is to help individuals and organizations understand and remove the fear associated with the unknown. Our secondary concern is to document and categorize paranormal claimed events.

Q: What scientific devices does Carolina Paranormal Society use on investigations?
A: Carolina Paranormal utilizes some of the most state-of-the-art hardware and software for today’s current data analysis. We document audible activity by using digital audio devices that pick up sounds in a 360 degree area around the device. We use infrared digital video through DVR systems and mobile camcorder units. Some of these units also contain ultraviolet and full spectrum viewing capability. We use electronic magnetic field (EMF) meters to locate the levels of high EMF that may affect claims of paranormal activity. These are just a few of the devices used during investigations. Please refer to the equipment portion of our site for more details.  Carolina Paranormal also utilizes a home grown state-of-the-art team/client software system that allows us to organize, communicate, analyze and efficiently track our investigative process from start to finish for each client.

A: Carolina Paranormal continually hosts both paid and non-paid based events.

- Paid events will require a purchased ticket that can be bought through our website or an event hosted website, such as (Haunted Gold Hill).  Paid events are typically larger very informative education sessions which may include in some instances an investigation session that accompanies the education.
